BEESPOKE Africa Beehives
The client commissioned a logo for his bespoke beehive business. Brief: logo to be used on stationary but also on beehives, vehicles and signs.
Concept
I researched different ideas, but a visually strong and easily recognisable logo rang true to the concept. I played with white, yellow and black that is synonymous with everything bee. Solid black outlines with yellow, and the repeat of the hexagon shape, created the feel I was looking for. All logo versions were scaled down for use on different social media platforms.
Different uses
The logo also needed to work in Black & White. I also did a number of versions to be scaled down for Social media usage.
Proudly African
Because the logo was designed with the use of multiple hexagons I was able to fit them together to form a pattern. The client then asked if I could use the method to form the shape of Africa to be uesd on vehicles and at expo stands.
