Green Flame firelighters
The client developed eco-friendly firelighters form recycled material and approached me for a logo and packaging design.
Logo concept
The logo had to speak to South Africa’s braai culture market and simultaneously highlight the product’s environmental friendliness. The font had to be informal yet playful.
Packaging
My concept for the packaging was an elongated box. The word firelighters would appear in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa on respected sides. I also incorporated an illustration running down the side of the packaging, so when it is displayed on shopping shelves (three boxes above one another), the buyer will immediately see the product in three languages, as well as the illustration depicting a braai in true South African style.
